Ribolla Gialla is one of the most typical grape varietals of the Collio DOC. Its presence in Friuli Venezia Giulia dates back to the XIV Century.
Collio Ribolla Gialla Maralba is Roberto Felluga’s homage to his parents, Marco and Alba. “A recognition of my mother’s effort in convincing my father Marco to invest in the Ribolla Gialla grape varietal, which she has always loved deeply.”
Straw yellow color. Characterized by a fresh bouquet, it has an elegant and intense aroma with a floral and fruity background of exotic fruit, grapefruit and apple. Pleasant and balanced in the mouth, it boasts an interesting extractive body, with an excellent freshness.

Type of Soil
The Collio’s hilly terrain. This soil type, called Flysch in Italian and Ponca in the Friulian dialect, is characterized by the stratification of marl and sandstone. It formed during the Eocene period and was once part of the ocean floor. The resulting soil is rich in minerals and, supported by an important temperature range, it lends sapidity and minerality to the wines and is ideal for white grape varietals.
